I hope you and Waukon get that ride in tonight. I read your question about gettin' Z in shape for the fake fox hunt. I just read an article about conditioning your horse....can't remember which magazine and I pass them on to my friends daughter when I finish them, but the jist of the article was to ride at least five days a week. They need rest days too. And do lots of trottin'...like trot for ten minutes straight...rest by walkin'....next day trot for a bit longer and so on. Now, if she gets winded walk her and rest her. But you're a smart gal and Z is in real good hands.
