I BELIEVE...nothing can separate me from God's love.

hello!! Andrea and the horses cantering by with a lovely-day Monday vote!!

thanks to all who gave me advice on the saddle fitting. it fits me, and most of you said it just needs to be slid back a bit. so i don't have to worry about it!!

had a trail class, obstacle course, and a jumping show yesterday, with Acorn and my sisters and Flicka and sweet pea. in the trail class we had a tarp to walk over and a "gate" made of standards and baler twine to open and close, 4 poles to bend around, a small jump, horseshoes to pick up from one fence post and set down on the next, and two poles on the ground to back through. it was very FUN!!!!
for the obstacle course, it was about the same, except, i led Flicka and Heidi led Acorn.
Kayla and i jumped for a while then. sweet pea was hot and tired of it, and she started rushing the jumps. i didn't want to quit on a bad note, but the longer i went, the worse she got. so i went in the meadow and walked her around till she cooled off. any advice for when horses rush the jumps?? i think i'll try the martingale next time, but first i'll give her a day off, or a long relaxing trail ride.
on sunday, kayla sat completely on Flicka and i led her around the corral!! yaaaaah!
hope you have a horsey day!!!!
