Thank-you for the compliments on my boys. Eis is actually the German word for "Ice" and is pronounced the same way. My husband minored in German at school, so when we decided on Black Ice as his name, he thought it would be cool to add a little twist and spell it Eis instead.
Ember is doing very well. We schooled in draw reins yesterday to help with his canter - he tends to hollow his back a little, raise his neck, and get fast at the canter, so the occasional reminder about how to carry himself makes all the difference in the world.
Eis has moved up in the world. He has been jumping 3' pretty consistently, but cleared a 3'9" vertical for fun last week! It's a shame I have neither the money nor the time to show anymore - I think he'd make a great little jumper.

Hope you and Star are doing well!
