It's great to hear from you again!

Tonight I wanted to write about my amazing drive this afternoon. It doesn't have to be a dream to be dreamy! I took Prince out and harnessed him to the cart. 3 of my friends came along so he had his work cut out for him pulling the 4 of us.

He's a bit of a spooky horse so I was prepared to manage any situation that arose. I've driven him in his field and I've taken the left turn out of his driveway and driven down the highway to drive in a neighbour's huge farm complex.

Guess what we did today! We turned right! We went up the highway a bit and Prince was looking everywhere in amazement. A beautiful mule came galloping over her field to say hello. She was VERY enthusiastic! She kept prancing and bucking and doing little dance steps. Prince was quite flattered. I know that he talks to the neighbouring equines fairly often and I imagine that they were saying to each other now, "Wow, so THAT'S what you look like!" Too cute!

We crossed a bridge. Prince has never crossed a bridge. We were going at a brisk trot. He stopped at the line in the road that marked the beginning of the bridge. After looking down warily he stepped over it. His feet echoed hollowly. He looked at them suspiciously.

He gingerly took another step forward. More strange sounds. Then he walked across the whole bridge without pausing. However, picture to yourself a cat walking across a puddle while trying to avoid getting wet. Yep, that's what he looked like. It was hilarious!

We drove at a fast trot for over an hour and the valley was so beautiful. The green alfalfa is so lush in the spring and the snow on the mountains contrasted with the clear blue sky. It was unbelievably breathtaking.

And Prince really was so good. No major scares and he gave all the pasture ornament horses a day to remember.

Thanks again for voting for Shadowfax. I'm so thankful for the horses that I do have in my life. Here's another vote for you.
