The night is still dark. The stars are still shining. There is no moon.

As we continue to gallop, the same constellation of stars is still nearing us. As we draw closer the stars are multiplying. They have a touch of blue and green to their glow. They seem to be lower on the horizon than the other stars. Indeed, they are separating from them altogether! What is happening?

Suddenly someone notices that the "stars" are speckled all over the side of a cliff. In the centre of the cliff is a huge cave. There are millions of these "stars" inside. We ride in not having to duck our heads as there is more than enough headspace.

We are now inside the cave and yet when we look up above it seems we are surrounded by a gazillion tiny stars. They are glow worms! It's impossible to see how many there are. They cannot be numbered. It is yet another breathtaking sight.

The horses toss their magnificent heads and breathe out deeply snorting with excitement. "Hey, this is fun!", they say. I'd have to agree!

Thank you so much for your support for the beautiful and fantastical Shadowfax.

Leaving you with a vote and dreams of glow worms. They truly are a magical sight.

P.S. If you've never seen glow worms before look up "glow worm waitomo" in Google.
