Hi Marion, last, oh maybe February, going out the back door of the barn, pushing a wheelbarrow full of poop. there is a short step, and we had some fresh snow, under the fresh snow was a bit of ice, my right foot caught the ice and my legs went right out from under me, straight up actually, the wheelbarrow went flying, poop everywhere, I came down hard on the edge of the cement step on my arm, deltoid muscule. Yes, it hurt, but you know how it is, suck it up and get back to work. I used rubs on it, tylenol, heat etc, part of the problem is I have to work, and some of my jobs at work bother it. It is not work related injury so I can't ask for modified duty. Anyway it has sort of gotten to a point, and it won't get better than that, so I went for some physio, and they thought it a good idea to xray just to rule out fracture, or crack or stress fracture. So I saw my DR. today, she ordered xray as well as ultrasound on the rotator cuff. Not to worry I can still ride. and anyway, even if it is fractured, the treatment wll be the same, the physio is helping, sucks getting old and brittle!!!As for Sterls, Dr. Cook is not a big fan of clipping, he wants to up her Cushing's meds for 10 days and then reassess, may have to anyway, but we'll see, I have found a girl that does clip, sort of a "clippers will travel", I've heard she does a nice job, I'll keep you posted, Love Donna Lee |
