Ok, first what do u mean by her hindquarters "away"? But I'll answer best I can. :)

When she fights for her head, kick her and continue correcting her. Jacke does almost the exact opposite thing. When we come to a corner, she doesn't want to turn. She wants to stop at the fence and just stand there. So, I smack her in the butt with a crop and pull her head around, forcing her to turn. Back to u....aid she curves one way, use your legs, not your hands to correct her. If you end up needing to use your hands, ignore her fighting for her head. As long as you aren't yanking and being rough, she's just being a brat about her head and loose reins. Hope I helped!! I'm Aryn btw. Say it are-in. :) friends :) ?
