HI, left a vote. I got up early this morning and went out to see Logan. He stood great in the cross ties. Got him down to the arena, tied him, started to walk away, yep, he started to pull back. He tried to break that rope but couldn't. Nothing spooked him. I think he has settled in, and doesn't want to be away from his buddies and his turnout. Stinker. I got on and rode, he was great. Tied him after I was done, yep, pulled back again. I let him stand there for nearly 2 hours today. He pulled back, reared up, bucked, kicked, pawed, and paced. He was wet from ear to tail! He was really mad. After he finally stood there calmly for 5 minutes, I went over and got him. He stood in the cross ties perfectly while I took the tack off. I posted some pics of him tied, and then in the cross ties afterwards. I was going to take him on a ride tomorrow with my cowgirls, but I am afraid he will pull back while tied to the trailer. So we will be doing lots of standing lessons until he figures this out. Maybe he is testing me too on some level with this.
