With the temperature cooler, I got to spend some time with the girls. Rick came home with hay. He called me to go out and open the gate. I was surprised to see Star standing in the front yard next to my car. I put the lead rope on her and led her back through the gate. Sadie was still inside of the fence. I checked the fence and found where Sadie had knocked it halfway down. She rubs that big itchy butt on the fence and had bent the posts over. They got brushed. Scruffy, too. He was loving the attention..... Because of the rain, the corral is slippery and messy. I let the girls stay out all day. I put them up after dark. Didn't want to risk leaving them out and something possibly happening. I took a bag of carrots out with me when I was putting them up. I had to put the lead rope back on Star to guide her in. Sadie, knowing I had the carrots, wanted them. She's a carrot junkie. I pointed toward the gate and told her to go in, and I'd give her some. She went in the corral and came back out after a few seconds. As I was leading Star in, I pointed to the gate, again, and told her to go back in, and I'd give her some carrots. She went back in and waited for me. As soon as I got Star in, I divided the carrots between them. So amazed and impressed with how well Sadie learns. I'm so blessed. Hugs and an it's raining, again, vote.
