Voted for the beautiful Apache!
Hiya. I'm glad you're good! I'm doing alright, I've been better. But God will get me through it, so I can't complain too much :) I'm still so blessed.

I really haven't gotten anywhere with getting Lady to bow yet. I wish someone would show me how. I've watched many videos but seeing it in person is a lot more helpful. Speaking of people, I've made two friends at my barn in the past couple of weeks! All the prayers worked!!!

It's cold here, too... hopefully it doesn't snow anytime soon. Just Christmas day would be fine. LOL.

Well, I have some sad news... :(I found out from Lady's owner (because I lease her) that when my lease is up, December 15th, we won't be renewing it. She is going to move her up to Omaha and will be spending all of her time with her. It makes me so sad. She is like my sister, in a strange kind of way. It took four of our nine months together for us to bond, but when we did, we really bonded. She is so funny. She has the most expressive eyes in the world. You can tell exactly what she's thinking. She's afraid of silly things like cows, but you could shoot a gun right above her head and she wouldn't flinch. She comes right up to me when she sees me. She puts her head on my shoulder, and she follows me everywhere I go. We have come so far together. At the beginning she was always bucking in the round pen and charging at me, but now she'll lope around like a queen, turn on a dime, and come into me as fast as she can. All of those achievements flow over into when I'm riding her as well. I taught her to neck rein and to respond to leg pressure. She pivots great and backs just how I ask her to. She sidepasses and flexes. She can run 30 mph. She gallops the whole way to the lake, 3 miles. I'm sure she could do more. She's a great horse, and I love her. She's not dying, but I'm losing her. She won't be that far, but I won't ever see her again. If I didn't have Beau and Koda, I don't know what I would do.

Now that I've given you the sad news, let me give you the happy! I'm starting to go out to the horse rescue to see Beau and Koda at least once a week now! I haven't been out there in about a month. I am so excited. God is good.

How are things with you and your herd? Any funny stories? :)

Sending love and a vote.

xoxo Katie
