Terrible I have had horses since before I was born. I have known no time without them. I cannot imagine selling my horses just so they won't die in my care and I wouldnt have to take care of their body after all of that and unfortunately, I have come into contact with people who have sold their horses to slaughter JUST so they wouldnt have to deal with death. I am committed to my horses. I have had mine since they were born - Storm is turning 21 next March along with Kitty in June. Sebastian will be 17 in May. They were my kids before I had kids and they are still spoiled and loved and cared for - vet twice a year for shots, deworming and care, and the ferrier evey 6-8 weeks. I did not have the intention of getting any more horses, but fortunately, someone called me asking if I wanted a couple of horses. I didn't - but I said that I would come look at them and help them place them. I had incorrectly presumed that they were cared for. They were not. Susie and Sari were in poor health and needed a vet - pronto. Needless to say, I got two more BEAUTIFUL souls to add to my herd. They are a part of the family as much as my original horses. They are all healthy and happy now!! They are very loved here and will be taken care of for all the rest of their days. Take care of the ones that can't take care themselves. You have our vote!!
