I am feeling a bit of relief now. Susie is finally FREE!! She is no longer being kept inside the barn...she is free to roam with the rest of the herd now. We had removed her bandages on the 26th after the farrier came to do their hooves. She seemed to be doing OK with them off so we decided to put her with the other horses on Monday (Dec. 3rd). We let them get use to each other again before setting her free. They are all doing fine together. We continue to clean her wound daily and spray Vetericyn and apply antibiotic ointment on it. We also apply swat to keep the insects off. We can only pray that she will continue to heal with no set backs. Leaving a Wednesday "hump day" vote for ya.
