You tell your friend who lost her gelding never to give up riding! I know she is grief now aqs I was but I started riding other horses (mostly mares cause we just seem to connect!) and the therapy is wonderful for a lost one so much loved! My gelding, the Hanoverian Wolken (I still officially own him) scared me off after a first fall from a horse EVER in my whole life, but I never blame him, he was out of his element and had a hard life of being punished before I got him. He was just too much horse for me, hehe! So give your friend an encouraging dose of medicine to get back in the daddle again! For me my bones healed after 4 months, but it took 2 more months for my mind to heal so I understand. I still miss my best gal Petite Fleur more than anything in this world♥ No horse will replace her but I WILL ride till I am to old to crawl into the saddle, ha ha! P.S. I prefer the wide open spaces of field and trail riding! COMPLETE FREEDOM!
