wow i'll have to remember her ;) that would be oh sosoosos scary!!! :(

Hey everybody, thanks for your advice!! For those of you who warned me that Sweet Pea will be tender, don't worry. She has had her shoes off for weeks at a time already, and she has very tough hooves. I'm not worried about that. What I'm worried about is the roads, and the farrier's trim. I got a very interesting email from a lady who does barefoot, in response to my question about letting Sweet Pea go barefoot. She told me the farrier has to trim the hooves different, and if he doesn't she said I should just find a trained barefoot farrier or learn how to do it myself. But I would be sort of scared that I would mess her hooves up.
Thanks for your comments. I'm borrowing "The Soul of a Horse" book from RuthAnn, can't wait to read it. Gotta get going and respond to my other blogs ;)
