good morning!
well i FINALLY go to ride yesterday!!!! i was so happy! hahah a month of not riding is WAY to long :P it was still muddy around the barn so we warmed up out in the field around the jumps. gosh i've missed zig soooo much and he was perfect yesterday <3 we had a really good lesson, it was a little bit of a rough start at the beginning but after a few tries we did great! but i must admit, doing those stirrupless two-point laps is killing me today hahah :) we started off with picking up the right lead canter to a red x-rail, then turn to the right to a white x-rail and then moved the slightest to the left, take 4 strides and jumped a wooden vertical diagonally. we had such a hard time with the vertical at first because i kept wanting to turn and make him straight going over it but there was only 4 strides between the wooden jump and the one before it so then i realized that i'd have to jump it diagonally to clear it, and vwa-la!!! it worked hahah i guess zig thought he was on a grand prix course because he was practically GALLOPING to the last jump hahah but it was sooo much fun! it was more of a jumper course even though i do hunters but it was fun to mix it up for a bit and add some speed and tricky distances/angles. i uploaded a few new photos of the wooden vertical and others on zig's page and i uploaded a video so it is up now, it's called ziggy thinks he's a grand prix jumper :) sorry for the long blog but i hope you have a wonderful day and week!

love,
sierra and the herd
