Hi Fancy, here's a vote for ya. And the H.T. life stories go on! It's 1995 now! He's now spent 6 months with Roger being trained to western pleasure. Roger and his wife leave on the 1st of May for a quarter horse show with h.T. in tow. I meet them in Elmira NY for the show. I show him in Halter in the am both days and do very well. Roger just works him in the warm up pen to get used to all the traffic of horses and going's on. He didn't care at all. Home he comes. Now mind you, Roger tells me, he's a big boy now, he don't need to be lunged anymore. NOT! We get to our Palomino show the following thursday and after getting all settled in with him and Beepers, my mare then. I get him saddled and go to riding him. He was a little up, and when he's up, he likes to rear! They are running the big tractor draging another arena and the darn things backfires. Up goes H.T. and slap's his head into mine, double fractured break on the nose and lacurations from my sunglasses, off to the hospital. Concussion and one heck of a double sided bloody nose. So much for not lungeing the beast. You can bet I lunged that horse everytime after that! More to come.
Today was a wintery mix day, although we didn't get what they got down south. We did have the high winds, 35 mph kind! Spent the day inside and relaxed for a change. thursday down to ride Paige. Love ya, Marion and the blondies.
