Hi Fancy, here's a vote for ya. So poor H.T. underwent his colic surgery and it was for a retro flexed pelvic flexor. Something in his stomach moved, probably rolling or even just getting up from lying down the vet said. I got home in the wee hours of the new day, sleep for a couple of hours, feed junior and bullseye and got back in the old truck and drove 2 hours to see my baby! He looked so pathictic still! I was standing there talking with one of the techs, Lisa, and when H.T. went into his routine for peeing! He must have learned this from watching the cat in the little box in the barn! He would circle once, stand extended, but then paw with a front hoof to move more bedding under himself to guard against the splash back of the urine! Vet tech says, oh boy, he's colicing, again, gotta get a vet, no Lisa, wait and watch, this is how he pees! She started laughing then when he did pee. I said if you see him doing it, just give him a minute before calling in the National Guards! I stayed about 4 hours with him, just talking and petting him, he was hooked up to an over head IV and tubes and could walk around and lie down, it was very interesting in a way. Still had to wear the muzzle for a few more days they said.
Didn't do much today other than turn the boys out in the indoor for play time. then did a little showmanship with Indy. Went to my lung doctor for my asthma check up, all's well. Love ya, Marion and the blondies.
