Hi Cross Creek Herd, here's a vote for ya. So here's one kinda in a way funny story of H.T. antics! He was 4 years old then. It was the end of show season, like late Sept, and I had to have surgery on my left wrist. Not from him, work related! LOL! I had a boarder at the time, Sue, who was a equine colledge grad, so you would think she should know better. Now mind you, I've got a soft cast from the knuckles to my elbow and very swollen fingers from surgery three days ago. Sue comes to see Toppy Tip her mare. Puts a un-opened bag of carrots on the ledge of H.T. stallion bars. Well that slim muzzle of his and talented lips got the bag of carrots! I'm like Sue, hurry get in there and pull it out of his mouth, she's like you come with me, he's crazy at times. Needles to say, we couldn't get his mouth open and he ate it all! Called the vet, give him some physcilliam for a week, should be okay, about 7 to 10 it'll be in his manura. If he starts to colic, call me again. HUH! Well it took 13 days and the bag and the tie nylon came out in the manura. He's like got 9 lives, that was like number 2 or 3 then. LOL!
At home day today, was nice out, kinda windy by did get to 50 degrees again. Drying things up! Got Indy and Bullseye out in the indoor for play time. Did some fix up work on the drive way to the barn, back dragged with the tractor bucket and smoothed out the ruts from the run-off on those couple of heavy rain storms. Thursday's a Paige day, can't wait. Love ya, Marion and the blondies.
