Hi Susan and Sing ☆
Wow!!! I missed u all :) I feel like a stranger! Well, hopefully I can change that soon!!
I guess I did leave a blog here about our Blue Marsh ride, which was tons of fun!!
Hopefully I can get around and vote for y'all, but for now, here's what I've been doing that last couple weeks....

I started riding Flicka!!!! It's SO exciting and so new to me, this is the first I've started a young horse. I uploaded a pic on her and Acorn's page.
I rode her a couple times already, but just with one of my sisters leading her and just around the meadow. I've also ponied her twice w/ one of my sisters on her, so she had sort of an idea.
The first time I tried it myself, she just would move. The second time, I used a crop as a reinforcement after my command. Then she went, but hardly :) Are all young horses that "stuck" when you try to get them to 'move out' for the first time?
The second and third ride were better, mostly I practiced turning. We trotted and cantering, just for teeny little bits at a time.
The fourth ride, I actually rode her up to Sharon's house, about a mile away. It's mostly fields on the way there. We trotted up one hill.
Last night I took her out again, this time around our neighbor's meadow and up to the place across the road where they are building a new house. I let her sniff all the new scary stuff and she was SO scared of everything. :)
Maybe I'll ride her again today..have to see....its fun! But no longer than half an hour for now.

I haven't ridden Sweet Pea very much lately.
I'm helping with a benefit thing next Saturday. I'll be leading horses with people on, and also driving a double-hitch of two minis, which are sometimes slightly ornery :). So I'll have to practice driving them this week and the next. Wish me luck!!

Love you all ♥
