(}---{) What a nice weekend, eventful at the start but relaxing and fulfilling! I hooked up my 2 horse trailer Friday evening for an early morning Saturday ride. I went to open the manger on the ride side to clean out hay or whatever may have been in it. To my surprise when I opened it there sits a coiled up rat or grass snake!! I went and got Cliff to help me. He took a hoe and pulled it out and relocated him. I went on about my check of the trailer. I opened the back to get out my blanket and girth to put in the saddle compartment and to check for wasp or yellow jackets. When I moved the blanket another snake appeared from underneath the blanket! I didn’t see it until Cliff say’s “be careful Sherry, there is another snake”. SO Cliff relocated that one too! From there I was careful with the trailer! I rechecked everything before loading Whiskey Saturday morning.

We had a peaceful and relaxing ride all by ourselves! A lot of people were there and some friends asked if I wanted to ride with them but I told them I needed a ride to by myself that day. I really just felt uncomfortable about some of the horses and people that were with them. Rather be safe, I have to be careful! I cannot be around no wild riders and horses that are not as well trained. I rode about 3 hours. I was back home by 12:30 so I haltered up the other 2 and brushed and fly sprayed them then turned them out for the afternoon. Sunday, after it stopped raining I haltered everyone, brushed, wormed and turned out again. We had company so we BBQ’d and visited awhile…..all and all-very nice weekend!
