More info
At the old stable he was at, he only got ridden once a week. He had got thrush, a hoof germ that eats away the inside of the hoof, a couple of times. He would never let me pick up his back hoof for a while and he flees at the smell of medication still. He was not supper skiny when we got him, just indurance fit, but he gained about 200 pounds. I got him almost 2 years ago after a really bad fall that cracked my helmet in two. We had to start on leadline because if he was not on leadline, he would spook the whole time I rode him. After a few months, we became a great team! Now we are getting ready to teach him how to jump! I think we have a very unique bond. This one girl at my barn got on him, and in just a few months, she fell off 2 or 3 times. Two because he likes to suddently stop, and three because he bolted. I have not come off him yet!
