Left a vote:) hope everyone had a good weekend.
On Saturday after riding my horse I rode my trainers pony which was really fun because she really has to launch herself to get over jumps I would consider small if I were on my horse lol. Then that night my trainer decided last minute she wanted to go to a show the next morning it was raining and gross and the route we took got flooded and we ended up holding up the whole show up because we got stuck in traffic and then her truck started having some issues and by that I mean we could barley get it over 20 mph. Good thing my trainer was friends with the owner of the barn that was hosting the show and she was willing to hold the show for us or we would have missed a lot of our classes lol. It was Jaspers first show off the farm I almost showed him in baby greens but I thought that that would be too much for us because it was 2 1/2 feet and even though I knew we could do that at home I didn't want to do it on his 1st time away. I ended up entering him in the 15 inch open hunters division we paid to have a warm up round thank god lol when I first brought him in and he heard the person talking on the speaker and saw all the people and other horses he started freaking out and screaming for his friends which echoed very loudly through the arena then when I got on his back for his warm up round it took me like five times to get him over the 1st jump which was only like a foot lol I forced him over a few jumps and had a few refusals we ended up getting disqualified from our warm up round which I didn't even know was possible lol I ended up paying for another one and after that he calmed down. I was able to get him through his to rounds of jumping without any refusals or him bolting so I was very happy. The flatwork part was pretty awful for us because we could only use a small amount of the arena and even with me holding him back as much as I could he was still much faster then the other horses in a arena because of his big stride so we had to pass constantly. In the end I was really glad I took him vs of one of my trainer's horses and I was so proud of him for not bucking rearing or bolting. When we were leaving the truck and trailer were forced to go through a tight curve and the trailer smashed through the trucks window which made glass explode everywhere and then we once again could only get the truck to go like 25-30 mph so we spent like an hour ride on the side of a very hilly road going super slow with cars passing us up every 2 seconds plus glass everywhere it was not a good day as far as transportation but other then that it was pretty great.
