Hi Susan sing and herd!!
Ω hey friends!!!! I'm back!! :) I'm using dads old iPhone so typing, copying and pasting will be a little difficult at first.

Lately I have been doing Clinton Anderson's groundwork and riding exercises. They have helped me gain Sweet Pea's respect so much!!! She can finally canter on a loose rein down the road, on the way home, and in the meadow, no matter what bit we are using! This is a huge accomplishment for her and I am SOOOOO happy w her!!!
I have been riding or doing ground work with her about 5 days a week. I'm also following Clinton's saying of 'long rides, wet saddle pads, and concentrated training' and that has helped her attitude so much! Instead of thinking GO GO GO when we trot/canter, she now (most of the time!!) thinks WHEN CAN WE SLOW DOWN?! This is a huge and welcome change!! :)

With Flicka, I have also been doing groundwork. I have been taking her on short rides, and working with her to get her over her fear of things :p

I had a new girl come for a lesson yesterday. She did pretty well, we trotted and walked on the lunge line. It's totally different teaching a girl that doesn't know a thing. But she did pretty well I thought. At least she's brave!!

Okay it's getting late, and the girls and I want to watch a movie called 'wild hearts can't be broke ' about diving horses. It's so good!!

♥ happy trails!!! ☆
