No don't give up on him! He needs you too!!!
You have competed on him so many times and gotten first. This is how I was with danny when I first got him. He would bolt and he had really strange gaits and at times I thought I should just stop and give up. But its what you love you can't stop what you love.

I kinda have the same issue right now. I feel like danny is just sick of working and i've given him lots of breaks as in like days of rest and I never really want to take the time to do anything with him but I always think our relationship and skills and strength will never get better if I just quite!

So I go and ride him lots and I switch it up. I will sometimes ride bareback or tackless and let him be him. I will also go ride out in the pastures to get his mind off of it. And I have been taking him on trails lots which is really good for them to just take a break. It makes me feel better to because i'm doing different things with him. You look great on him!!!
