Glad you are not missing in action for the time being Danya! Read my fun & challenging story, pics on PF's page but no video, no one around to get it, to fast!
A late Thursday vote ! What a ride I had on JON, a Polish breed here in Switzerland. He is used to pulling tourist carts with his pal Lucky. You can see all of us in photo gallery on Angel PF’s page. Well, the new owner of the riding stables is not much of a rider and Lucky ditched her as soon as Jon and I started trotting in unknown areas they are used to in the higher trails with carts. So poor Ilsa had to get off Lucky as she was uncomfortable with his attitude, so as soon as we were out of their sight I got Jon ( 15 year old gelding tobiano color 16HH) in a grassy field where I run my dog after swimming in the lake and he went into a beautiful gallop and only stopped because a big tuck was coming toward our trail. I asked him to turn around an join Lucky (his buddy) and ILSA who wondered why we disappeared. Let me tell you, I never felt anything but calm because I knew this horse trusted me in spite of being in untraveled areas he is not used to. Well, I reserved CHANEL (who was out with children riding her) for Saturday and we will be traveling solo! Just her & me on the trails! Jon, like Darling gave me a lot of confidence back, he could have thrown me but he was trusting and calmed very quickly. I will miss these wonderful mountain horses, always a challenge!
