Hi Danya!! :):)
☆ It's a beautiful day here in PA. Feels like fall here. But I'm loving it!
Had 3 riding lessons this week....
~First was Kara and Felecia, who came last summer, too. We used the Western saddle. I have to take it extremely slow with them. Unlike Emily, who is posting on her second lesson, and Lilly, who is jumping and cantering with the english saddle on her 5th lesson, Kara is only getting comfortable at the canter with the Western, and Felicia is almost ready to canter. But their personalities are different. Anyway, we did a lot of fun games this time and they had fun. Felicia actually cantered! Accidentally. She was trotting and trying to "hide" the horseshoe while I closed my eyes, and she got excited and kicked a little too hard, and Sweet Pea broke into a canter. But she did say it wasn't as bad as she thought the canter would be. LOL. But then she didn't want to trot again. But we did trot before the end of the lesson.

~The next morning was Lilly. We jumped, with the English and snaffle. I thought at first I might be making a mistake, because Sweet Pea doesn't listen to the snaffle very well, but she was perfect and Lilly loved jumping! :) She reminds me soo much of ME when I was a little girl learning to ride. :)
~That evening, Emily came for her second lesson. We trotted on the lunge, had her ride w/o stirrups and reins, also had her close her eyes for 20 seconds to get her to "feel" the movement of Sweet Pea's body. We also turned a lot off the lunge, over and around poles.

That same afternoon, I went on a trail ride with my sis Kayla (10). She rode Sweet Pea and I rode Flicka. I got a girth and saddle pad for a small western saddle that I have, and Kayla uses that now when she rides Sweet Pea. We went through a farm and Flicka thought the 2 dogs were going to eat her alive. Goodness, I've never ridden such a spooky horse! She practically walks along, LOOKING for something to spook at! She makes me soo tired when I ride her! :)

Alright, I think me and Mom and the girls are going somewhere this afternoon so I can practice driving some more, on bigger roads, and also to spend a gift card that I got for my birthday...so I should go! :)
