I hope you're staying safe from the flooding!

I'm really sorry I didn't blog yesterday. I wasn't feeling well and I was working on the computer getting things done before I wrote out my blog. I just got so nauseated and the room was spinning and it felt like my head was going to fall off.

Fortunately, my head did not fall off. I'm on antibiotics for a persistent sinus infection. Just trying to get tonight's blog done before I feel too sick again. Thank you for stopping by and voting anyway!

I'd like to highlight the Percheron's easy going and sweet temperament. Many draught breeds are called "Gentle Giants" and for good reason. Without that laid back, forgiving personality, they'd be a menace!

I remember a few years ago I was taking the harness of Eddie after driving him for one of the first times. I was familiar with the pleasure harness since that's what I use with Pippin. However, at that time Eddie was being driven with a large collar draught harness.

When removing a harness one wants to undo as little as possible. There are so many straps and buckles that no one wants to have to put that all together before each drive.

Well, I wasn't sure what I was doing and I didn't disconnect the heavy collar from all the right pieces. I started to pull it over Eddie's head and he lifted up his head so that I couldn't even begin to reach.

The collar was now stuck on his poll with one ear behind and one ear in front. He looked like a clown! But instead of worrying and wondering about all this, he just stood patiently while I tried to figure it out.

I still remember that incident with a smile!

I hope you all enjoyed the last video of Pippin biting at Eddie's wheel. He's the the only horse I know that attacks a tyre!

Today's video is The Dinosaur and the Pig. You'll know why when you hear it! -videos/watch- video-2da3038ac8534ea688a48857a35ab4f2.aspx

Leaving a vote of appreciation!
