let's get Charlie his hotd for tomorrow! he will be a welcome sight in the hotd window looking good in either lime or purple.
blankets can be tricky. every horse is different and if Charlie likes to nip at sterly he may tear her blanket. I've had that happen. buttercup shreds her blankets because she's so active. she tends to step on the edge when she gets up from laying down. her blanket has patches and duct tape all over it. lol. the rule that I follow is that once you choose to blanket you have to continue for the entire season because it affects their coat growth. I only blanket now when it gets into the freezing temperatures. my horses are out in the open and sometimes it's hard to determine, with wind chill, how cold it will be. I tend ot want to blanket because I'm so cold! if yours are inside out of the wind they should be protected.
