What a surprise, thank you everyone!
We've been through quite a journey with Fanny over the last year. About this time last year she suddenly stopped eating and we couldn't get her interested in food no matter what we tried. She rallied a little in February but she continued to loose weight and was barely eating. At one point the vet rated her body condition score at about a 1.5 and diagnosed her as having went into protein myopathy so the prognosis was bleak at best. We started her up on a massive regiment of homeopathic medicines and finally decide to try doing fecal transplant on her to help reestablish her digestive microbes and that has seemed to do the trick. We're crossing our fingers but right now it looks like she's on the mend. For a tiny little girl she eats almost 3/4 a bale of hay a day, and over 5 cups of grain mix a day. Right now she's back up to about a 3.5 on the body condition scale and she's put on a winter coat so we're cautiously optimistic :D
Thank you again for all of your support! She's such a special little girl and she loves attention so she'll eat this up :D.
