Stay Warm, Cheryl and herd
Good morning,
It looks rather wintry out there...we have had endless rain and chill, and everything is flooded as the water has nowhere to drain. It has been in the high 30s at night, but will dip tonight. The barn is cold and damp.
I have been working out there for several days, trying to help everyone with the cleaning and the horses were in for 36 hours during the heaviest part of the rains, so are going bonkers. They will go out today, as there are rain-breaks. Rivers in the arena and tall, rubber boots required.

Awakened with a slight fever this morning, sore throat and sinusitis, so staying in today.

Jack is improving and his leg appears to be quite normal now. The farrier cam yesterday and trimmed his hooves, so all seems to be fine there. The Bute was only given for a couple of days, then stoppe. He has healed on his own, and it's likely bruising and some related pain in the LH, left of the tail, that was bothering him. So, hopefully, onward we go to get him back to work slowly, in a couple of weeks. I'll just hand-walk this week, then tack him up next week and hand-walk to start.

Stay warm...

Love, Nuala
