Wow, I can't believe I haven't blogged since Thanksgiving!!!

I have some major updating to do, so here it goes.
Thanksgiving was good, Pawpaw had a good time with the family around. Afterwards I left and spent some time with my dad's side of the family and with Shawn's family also (my dads side and his family get together at dinners.)
Well Christmas has come and gone, it was good, and again I split time between my moms family and my dad and Shawn's family. Christmas night I left with Shawn and we spent 2 weeks together, this included taking the kids to LEGOLAND again, and SeaWorld also.
Unfortunately after Christmas my Pawpaw had to come live with us for a while as he needed more care than what he was getting at the moment. he stayed with us for nearly a month, when I got a call from my mom (I was gone for the weekend to watch Shawn run a race.) Pawpaw had suffered a small stroke in his sleep. It didn't show up on the CAT scan, but it did show on the MRI and now the upper portion of his left arm is paralyzed and he is in another rehab for PT.
On top of it all, I am finally getting the dental care I have needed for a good while (I had no dental coverage for years.) and have been going back and forth to the dentist for fillings, and tomorrow I will have several extractions done. I'm super nervous about the sedation as I have never been put under before and don't know how I will react to it. I also typically refuse to take pain medications, but I know I will have to after having the teeth pulled, I'm just not very happy about having to take the meds.
I've also found several good lesson barns nearby that aren't too outrageously priced and may begin taking formal lessons again soon (hopefully).
I hope all is well with everyone out there and that you have had a wonderful holiday season.
Lot's of hugs, love, and votes~ Shannon
