Summer Adventures
It's almost been a month since Buddy's injury to his knee happened. I'm feeling really bad that he hasn't been able to go outside since, I'm hoping that it warms up before the 15th. The weather channel says that's when its supposed to be about -5 and I should be able to put him out. Poor guy!

Buddy recovered nicely from his alfalfa cube adventure, much to my worry. That summer we spent lots of time with the kids and teen camps, since I was old enough to participate in the teen camps I did that, and when it was a kids camp week I was a “wrangler.” To this day Buddy & I are classified as one of the lead wranglers for the camps if we're up at the ranch while they are going on.

During the teen camps we would work with the younger horses or the ones who didn’t have much training on them. I of course worked with Buddy. When we went on trail rides I would ride Cayenne and pony Buddy at the same time so he got familiar with the tack and being on the trails. When we weren’t on the trails we played with the horses in the arena. One of the days we played with them was the first time I lunged Buddy. I don't remember much on how he was at it other than we didn't really have major issues… More tomorrow on Buddy’s first rider… Possibly with a picture if I can find it!
