Sorry for the late blog...
It's past my bedtime but I remembered I haven't blogged yet today! ACK! Anyways, I couldn't find the picture of my brother on Buddy to go with this story, so instead theres two new pictures, the first is of my very first summer with Buddy (we're on the right hand side of the picture) and the second picture is Buddy's sire Beethoven.

We tacked Buddy up in his western gear to get him ready for having someone sit on his back. The lucky person who got to sit on him first was my brother John, as he was the lightest of us all. After working with Buddy in the arena for a while with walking him around in both directions so he was comfortable with the saddle we tried putting a bit of pressure on his back to see how he handled it. He took it well!

So we sat John on him and he was really good and calm about it all. We took it nice and slow and decided to see how he would do with going for a walk with someone on his back. We had one person on each side of Buddy and one person leading him, and just incase he spooked we had John keep his feet out of the stirrups so he could bail if needed. Buddy was good about it all and so we ended on a good note for the day. Thanks for all your support, we appreciate it!
