Good Morning my friends, here I am back to my regular Saturday morning thing, the breakfast buckets have been given, the cats fed, the dog has been out and fed, I have a coffee and it is time for my visit with all of you. It has been an interesting week, you all know how anxious I have been to ride because we lost out on ALL last summer. It has been so wet that my first few rides were around the mud puddles, but at least it was a ride. Things have dried up a bit more and we have been able to use the whole small ring, we have done mostly walk tot, but a bit of canter, don't want to do too much too quickly, poor Charlie can't be in shape after so much time off. Dr. Cook started Sterly on an ulcer med due to the recurring mild gas colic, he said that the number of horses walking around with ulcers would amaze you, but because of her senior years, 31, and because even a mild case can turn serious, we are going to try this for a month or so. She takes her meds willingly, what a good girl. Trevor is home. we are happy, I realize that it is boring for a city person out here in the middle of no where, but yesterday we took Zack for a walk and the day before he went for a bike ride. He is looking good, feeling tons better, still dealing with issues in his mouth from the radiation, the hearing loss is permanent, but it is only partially gone, his hair is coming back in, but really grey... strange, he is a fighter as you all know. Rain forecast for today, boo hoo, looks like laundry and vacuum and maybe a good book. Talk soon, we voted, Love Donna Lee
