I'm writting late tonight...
Sheesh its late, but i'm off to bed, and wanted to check this again. Well my mom actually just bought me a deep purple halter for her! its like from Frenchie in Grease! So idk. But they have a bazillion different halter sizes! Ah! Well about the fact that i actually have a horse. YES! Its very different now that i'm not going to Bravo's stall! They are such a contrast, its insane! Thats one of the main things is that each horse is different! (i feel like writting a lot, so i guess i will!!) As you might remember from summercamp a long time ago, when you rode him... His trot is really REALLY bouncy due to his Arabian breed. I've been sooo use to forcing that energy downward so i dont become unbalenced, that now i'm just like 'oh ok trot!yay!!' since Frenchi being a thoroughbred has a very light and flat trot, so she doesnt have that extra UMPH to throw me up off her back. AND THEIR CANTERS! ohh sheesh they have a huge difference in canters! His was really rocky and i felt like i had to focus more on controling his speed and keeping him collected, otherwise he would go to trot, so it was really hard to feel my own position. But with Frenchie she just goes and goes and goes the same speed unless you ask for more! Which is such a relief for me since i'm not constantly pushing for speed but then retaining that speed with my hands... So the gaits definatly are different, and in this case its a good different. I really feel like with my own horse i am able to have, you know, a stronger bond with her. And since she's my own she will slowly begin to understand my individual way of giving aids. And since she wont be riden by anyone else normally, she wont be able to confuse my aids with someone elses. I also have the great priviledge of riding her as often as i'm able to. Which is becoming a problem with bravo, since Shadow's getting slower these days, a lot of the girls who ride Shadow are transfering over to bravo... so its helpful that any of the riding changes on the school horses wont affect me. Overall i do enjoy riding my own horse. After wanting one for sooo long, and against all odds i actually get one as splendid and beautiful as Frenchi, just shows me that the quote 'everything happens for a reason' is true. Even though her negetives wont really go into effect at the moment, if they do in the future, i probably wont move onto another horse of my own. I feel an imidiate connection to her. Its just that SPARK that you dont want to go away. When we first got her, my mom was really like 'ohh my we have a horse!! YAYAYAYA!' and i was like 'uh... yeah... your really excited...' haha and so my mom kinda took her over for the first few days. But then after like the 3rd day, Frenchi started to show interest in me. She was genuinely curious about me. And thats really neat for that to happen because now we are growing closer in our bonding. Everyday when i go to get her from her paddock, she licks my fingers as they fumble with the lock. With her she does
