Hi: I got your note. It sounds like you are doing the right thing with Buster. I agree with you, I don't think it is a good idea to just leave him in the pasture. The ground work you are doing with him is good for him, certainly no harm to him at all. I feel a young horse should be handled from the ground right from the beginning. Don't let anyone talk you into doing anything different than what you are doing now unless you think it is time to go ahead with his training. At the age of 3 you could even put a saddle on him when you do your ground. That would be good for him also. Perhaps you might try the saddle on him while doing your ground work after he is gelded. I enjoy talking with you, it sounds like you know what you are doing. Come back and visit me soon. I left you a vote.
