It is much warmer to ride bareback, but with a winter coat, you do get really hairy. The lady that keeps Halle for us, when she has a new bail of hay in the shed, she lets the horses chew it down when she feeds them until it gets to a height that a person can pitch the hay. And Lily, the horse that is gone, when she tries to get her momma's (Halle's) grain, momma says, "This isn't for you, child." At least that is how it appears. Because Halle has senior horse feed, and Lily doesn't need it too (but she thinks she does). Thanks for the vote and here is one for Bud.
