Hi! Thanks for visiting. I recently called a vet about breeding Halle, and he said there wouldn't be a problem since she is healthy, unless she couldn't conceive and carry the foal. Plus, getting it past my dad and the person we keep her with might be a small problem. But I found another way maybe to "indirectly" have a foal from Halle's lines. The person that has Halle's last foal (the lady I keep Halle with) might breed Lily in the future (we asked her if she would breed Lily last weekend, but Lily is only 2 now). So, in the next few years as Halle gets older and if they do breed Lily, I would try to be first in line to get Lily's first foal. But, we will just see what happens. Halle will probably live a few more years (4 or 5), unless she suddenly gets sick or something awful happens (which is rather unlikely, I think). Just, whether her arthritis allows me to ride her that long will just have to wait to be seen, a person can only hope. Here is a vote and have a great day! P.S. Halle and I had a wonderful ride Sunday! The weather has been nice so her arthritis hasn't been bothering her! She has a lovely gait when I am able to get her to trot and canter! ♥ |
