Hey Patches! heres a vote. You are very cute. I have a page in memory of eight belles too. To make a young rider cover, you go to the link on the side of the Horse Channel web page, and then scroll down to the Young Rider fun stuff section. Then you click on custom Young Rider magazine and you can make a cover.
As for tips on breaking a horse, I haven't done that myself, but I have read about it. First you should lunge your horse lots, and get him usd to you touching him. Then you can put on the saddle and bridle and get him used to that. Get him to try it on a few times and give him a treat if he's good, and then you could try lunging him with tack. Make sure the stirrups don't bang on him because he won't like that. Stick with that for a while, and then you an start leaning your weight on him some. It might take him a while to get used to that. If you are an experianced rider, you could try riding him then, but he might try to buck you off. You said you wanted to break him in water, but I don't know much about that. All this is from books so you might have to vary it some. Also to get him used to the reins and commands you can walk behind him and have long reins to steer him. I hope I was helpful, but I have never tried it so these instructions might not work. If someone who is experianced gives you different ideas, you can try those to. My horse is going to have a foal this fall, so I will eventually try these myself.
