Strangles Well I knew it was coming. There is a strangles outbreak at the stables and last night it was Baby's turn to get it. Jewel started on Monday and now Baby. Both horses started with very high fevers. Fever went down to normal with bute and cooling water. Baby actually stood out in a thunderstorm last night to get cooled off. It worked well. So now it's yukky snotty noses for a week and stall confinement for a while. Not what I call a good way to end the summer.:(
