Water Advice
Hey I give you some advice about the water phobia thing. When I got my mare she would NOT go into the wash rack on 2 feet, lots of rearing and freaking out. I have found that anything with horses that are frightened takes 3 very simple things, Time, Patience, & Repetition. Just keep showing him 1 water thing at a time, maybe start with putting water from a hose on his legs, just one leg at a time, start slow. When he backs away keep right with him, you can't give up the lesson until he accepts the water on at least one leg and stops trying to back away. If you quit before that then he'll think there's a reason to be affraid. Just be patient, he'll get there, the more time you spend together the stronger the bond you'll have and the more things you two work through together the more he'll trust you. Good Luck & Don't Give Up!!!
