she's gr8 on trails, really her fav activity, besides eating. she likes to act spooked on windy days, which keeps it interesting, and my laughing. in the beginning she also spooked easily, but i started training her out of it by taking her out with a more experienced trail horse, or sometimes just one of the horses in her "herd", halterlead.the key is keeping them relaxed, as soon as they start at one thing, they'll keep doing staying relaxed, they have the time, and will, and trust in you, to work through the problem mentally, and then either inspect it, or simply ignore it. also, alway keep the pace to a steady walk or slow trot at first. it helps to change the different "roads" you take, to give a new problem as soon as the previous was overcome, thus making it a sort of habit of solving probs. it's basicly like constant stimulation.later they solve the problems so quickly that you don't even notice anymore.hope that helps a bit.o, and here's that vote.
