Glad You Agree!
Hey, haha! There are a few crazy mares at my trainers barn, they act really bad when they are in heat! Geldings generally are laid back, and do not have to deal with that. I almost bought a mare, Satin before I got Rocki but the day I was supposed to ride her to see if I wanted her she hurt her hoof [split it up the middle] and I was told it may be a year before she was sound again. I was sad, but if I would have got her I wouldn't have meet Rocki! :D I also looked at another horse Bo before I gt him, another paint/jumper. But he was like 16 hands! I was at the point of buying him, the vet check to make sure he was sound/and had negative coggins. The vet said he totally acted up, and was bucking etc. Which totally surprised me! I had ridden/lunged him several times and he had not flinched! The vet also said he had athrites... [which of course would cost extra $ for shots and would not be good for jumping] the vet also said "I would not reccomend this horse for a child", I was sad! He had NEVER done any of that.... Ah well... I got my boy Rocki and do not know what I would be without him!
