Racing Career...
It takes a lot of hard work and diligence to be successful at finding a horses racing career. As long as you know the registered name, that is a start! If you have a horse that you know was not that successful at racing, it could be close to impossible to find its track records. Both my geldings and mare were at one point pretty successful, Royal even won at Santa Anita. I searched his name hundreds of times and finally found the barn he was kept at. I called and got the name of his trainer during his racing stint and was able to talk to him. He even released his papers and wins to me. The best thing to try and find is the barn and the trainer. You can also have luck finding the sale that the horse was sold at as a yearling or two year old. Some times you can find the sale price and hip numbers which can help.

Good luck!
