Problems... Read on...
I have a problem with Casper. About a week ago, I was grooming Casper, and I noticed his tail was kind of pink in one area. I looked closer, and saw that there was blood on his tail. I picked through the hair and saw that on his dock (I think that's the right word) or tailbone area he had a scab. Well, I rode again and noticed more blood stains while I was grooming him. I looked closer, picking through the hair, and saw that there were several scabs that had come off and were just sitting in the hair. Around the area where the scabs had been last week was dry skin. It looked like, and this is kind of gross, the skin that comes off after your skin has been sunburned. Is that normal? And what should I do about what I assume is an injury on his tailbone (or is it really a dock?)? And one more thing: Casper's nose area, eye area, and under-the-tail area is sort of spotted. Could he have Appaloosa in him? He's a Quarab, but I really know nothing about his pedigree. He's not even registered. Thanks.
