thanks for the vote
I did get to ride Navajo last night:) He did well when I told him to walk, trot, canter but had trouble with the whoa:( So we are going to work on his voice commands. I did work at voice commands before I turned him out. I would say walk and start walking then he would follow then I would say whoa and I would stop and he would follow my lead. He did actually quite well and I was proud of him. I did lunge him a bit just to make sure he knows what he is doing. When I was riding him he did well with moving away from rein and leg pressure. He does have a problem though of not wanting to listen to rein and leg pressure when he wants to go back to the barn. If anyone has an idea how to take care of this and what I need to work on I would appreciate ideas/help:) Thanks. But he is getting better. As I ride him and work with him I can tell he is improving. My riding is also improving but I have areas I want to work on for myself. I don't know if I will get to ride tonight because my parents are going away for a family meeting on my mom's side and I am in charge of putting Rachel to bed. But if I do I will make sure I update:) ttyl ruth ann n navajo
