Yeah, I'm kind of the exact opposite! I had all western stuff so that's what I was drawn to. I definitely recommend barrel racing, except if you over run the pattern with your horse you can make them a little crazy, in a dangerous way! But I really would recommend any western discipline, especially reining, that's what I'm training Sundance for now. hey, if you have any jumping pointers just let me know. :)
