How are things going with you? That's funny that Cody did the same thing with a dog biscuit. Horses are so funny. I know that you are praying for a good home for Cody and I'll add that I hope it's close so that you can still see him occasionally. I know what it's like to miss a horse that you love.

Last week when we went riding I rode Prince bareback. It's the first time since my bronco incident with him in November and he was really good. If he continues to behave I think I'll do it more often. I don't think I'll try jumping bareback anytime soon though. I like cantering and slow trotting but until my knee is properly healed it's hard to keep my balance. Plus I need practice!

And I got to ride again last night. With the saddle this time and even though it was evening it was pretty hot. We're back in the 100's here again. More like our normal summers. We had a great ride and the horses were eager to go.

And last week I also took Pippin out for a bike ride. I haven't done that since November when Prince injured my knee with his bucking bronco act. So, I didn't think Pippin would be too energetic but he ran the whole way, 8 miles, and at one point where the road was nice and flat he galloped full speed and was pulling me at over 24mph. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and I know he was happy being out with his herd. It was such fun that we went again tonight.

And on Sunday evening Pippin and Melian had some fun together. We went for a walk and I let Pippin run free in the forest. He was running around like a wild thing and Melian was hot on his heels. She's not quite fast enough to keep up but she was smart enough to cut corners. Now she's pooped. Pippin isn't though. I think he could have run for another 15 minutes at that flat out gallop. Too bad I didn't have a camera. I really need to carry one around with me.

Well, that's all from me. I always get carried away when I start writing about the animals I love. Here's a vote for you. Take care!
