Well I hope you can find a good trainer soon and you can do some more jumping. I had a cattle show on the 18th and 19th. I didn't do as well as I had hoped but the judge wasn't the best. But o well I still had fun and placed in some classes. The day after my cattle show, I headed of to a trail riding camp were I was to be a wrangler for 10 days. I took Cheyenne with me and for the first 4 days she did great. Then on the 5th day when I went to catch Cheyenne that morning she wasn't walking on her one hind leg. Besides not walking on the leg we coudn't find anything wrong with it, so we put her in a smaller pen by her self and watched her carefully. On the 3rd morning after injuring herself Cheyenne's leg swelled up from the hock all the way down to the pastern. So we put some stuff on her leg hoping that it would bring her swelling down. The day after that the swelling was down a little bit, but now she had a hole at the back of her pastern that was leaking some yellowish goo. Seeing that, which meant her leg was infected we decided to send Cheyenne home and have her checked out by a vet. I wasn't able to go home with her, but the vet told my mom to give Cheyenne penicillion and wash her leg with water every day. When I got home today though the leg had gotten worse as there was beginning to be a rather large gap between her hoof and her pastern. So we called the vet again and Cheyenne now has more medication being given her. I am really worried for Cheyenne as there is a chance that she won't be sound again and there is even a slight chance that she could lose her hoof and then she might have to be put down. So I am pretty depressed rigth now.
Besides being very worried for my horse I had a great time at camp and from those 10 days I ended up riding for almost 70 hours. Heres a vote.
