How are you doing? I'm beginning to feel better finally today. This was one of the nastiest colds ever. Verging on the flu. Everyone in our valley seems to be either catching it or has it or had it.

I even felt well enough to go riding but I'm glad that the horses weren't feeling their oats too much because I'm still a bit dizzy. I rode Eddie again today. My sister had her old saddle sent to her and I will be using that on Prince. It's a really nice large dressage saddle but it's a bit too narrow for Eddie. She wanted to try it first and, of course, I let her since it was hers. It fit perfectly as did her old bridle. I'm so happy because Prince's tack really did not fit him too well.

Eddie was very well behaved and I got some really nice long fast canters out of him. I just love the feeling of all that raw power under me. It's something indescribable.

The other day Melian jumped over Pippin's fence and into his pen for some reason. The fence was a bit squished and was down to 2.5 feet tall. Well, Pippin was watching and he learns fast. He jumped out of his pen a couple of times so we had to fix the fence. It's now back to its normal 3 foot height.

He went crazy the other day and was tearing around his field. He likes to do that quite often and sometimes Melian will sneak in and join him. Well, I was watching and suddenly he sped towards his fence and leapt into the air. He just clipped the top and got his feet stuck, and rolled over it and onto his back. He was struggling there and I started running towards him but fortunately he managed to free himself and bounced up and ran off towards the lawn where he immediately started to graze. I was very happy he didn't injure himself. I'm also quite impressed that a 31" horse can jump 36" inches. That's an impressive leap!

I'm working on trying to get Melian to leap over Pippin's back. She'll bounce off him but not over him. We haven't worked on it long so I'm hopeful.

How's everything there? Here's a vote for you and if you wouldn't mind leaving an extra vote for Pippin and Prince I'd appreciate it. They're both almost at the next 1,000.
